Reflections--HazyMorningInTheMountains  Yep I made it into another year to fight off my physical partner called COPD, at least by calendar.

What do I do with the New Year?

What can I change or fix?

What do I need to get accomplished?

And that is just the first three questions which I may be asking myself and my closest caretaker(s).

Question 1 – What do I do with the New Year, simple enough, I work at staying positive, positive, positive.  If I could do this I would presumably cut back on the frustrations that come with my personal battles with COPD.

Question 2 – What can I change or fix, one thing I can’t change is that I have COPD.  But I can find the ways and means to control it as best I can so that the expansion of my partner COPD does not get the upper hand for a very long time.

Question 3 – What do I need to get accomplished, the simple answer is read, listen and learn as much as I can about COPD and heart issues.  The bigger answer is to finish what I started several months ago and get certified as a COPD Advocate through the COPD Foundation – this would give me a better rock to lean on when talking with others and dealing with political and medical leadership about the future of COPD research.

One other item which the New Year will bring, is my sharing on even a more personal level (at times) of my own personal travels in battling the life with COPD.

It is always good to share, by sharing we all will learn the minimum fact that ‘we are not alone walking this path of COPD’ – which is the main reason I take care of the near daily commentary and/or informational postings on a blog which I call ‘Wheezingawy.com’ as well as the facebook page ‘COPD Travels’.

A personal reminder – if you or anyone you know have any symptoms involving lung and breathing functionality, and they linger over and over while disrupting a lifestyle – then please ask questions and get it checked out.

Remember always that without breathing a person is without life itself.

With that I bid to all – smiles, prayers, blessings and steady breathing – Mr. William.
