In recollecting about my daily battle and frustrations with COPD/Asthma I was rummaging through some stuff (and I have lots of stuff) and I ran across a collection of writings I had from Helen Steiner Rice which are touching, thoughtful and reminders of what we should be doing and not so much what we should not be doing.
What better way to share than with words of hope and renewal as we fight this unrelenting and frustrating illness of COPD/Asthma.
So here you have:
A DAILY THOUGHT, SPIRITUAL WORD & HOPE FOR TODAY!!
THE THOUGHT – from Helen Steiner Rice:
Bless me, heavenly Father,
Forgive my erring ways –
Grant me strength to serve Thee,
Put purpose in my days.
THE SPIRITUAL WORD:
The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. (Psalms 118:14 – NIV)
THE HOPE – for today is to serve the Lord by serving those around me. For today to work at avoiding self-preoccupation for knowing that there are many who need the assistance that only I can offer.
