What better way to share with others who share the daily battle and frustrations with COPD/Asthma than by passing on some daily words and thoughts that bring hope and renewal, because as we all know – without that horizon of hope, our daily renewal of faith and fight can dim in a hurry.
So take, read, meditate and hopefully find some hope to attach to your faith for today – – – – –
A DAILY THOUGHT, SPIRITUAL WORD & HOPE FOR TODAY!!
THE THOUGHT – from Helen Steiner Rice:
When life becomes a problem
Much too great for you to bear,
Instead of trying to escape,
Just withdraw in prayer.
THE SPIRITUAL WORD:
“A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from the all, he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.” (Psalms 34: 19-20, NIV)
THE HOPE – on this day, remember that disappointment will pop up along life’s travels whether we ask it to or not. For those who fight the daily battles of a chronic disease/illness, disappointments are seemingly just part of the path we are traveling, so when an unexpected one pops up from family, friends, circumstances or whatever it can be an extra downer for our day, week or month.
The important thing to do his rely on our faith and hope that it will get better and that it could always be worse (don’t forget we all die eventually) and for right now that disappointment is really nothing more than a little bump in the road, an irritating grain of sand in the eye or mouth….it is just that a brief downer in which in most cases had nothing to do with what your were or are doing – it just happened. In the scheme of life, brush it off – pray about it, set the disappointment free – and most of all, move on. (Billy Dursens)
