Sharing with others daily words, thoughts and meditations that bring myself hope and renewal during my own daily battles and frustrations with COPD/Asthma.  Sharing, because as we all know – without that horizon of hope, our daily renewal of faith and fight can dim in a hurry.

Take, read, meditate and hopefully find some of the same hope in your daily battles with a chronic illness and/or disability as I have within mine….

The Word – “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”  (1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV)

The Thought – One thing that is so important to remember is that no matter what else may be going on within your daily battles with a chronic illness and/or disability, remember that love is by far the most important.

Love can be seen and shown in a variety of ways and most are not the intense romantic love found that one should find within a bonding of two parents.

Love is simply the utmost appreciation and respect for those within your travels of life.

Love is an appreciation and gratefulness for all that the ‘Great Spirit’ has surrounded us with in the gift we call earth.

Love is one leg of the four fundamentals needed to keep up life and happiness, as love works in sync with hope, faith and grace to give us that reason to get out of bed each and every morning.

We all know that showing love and appreciation can be difficult on those days when our chronic illness and/or disability is being a real challenge, but we also know that it is necessary to shine in love throughout our battles for that will be what is remembered by our family and friends come that day that we may not be any more found walking with them physically on this gift of earth.

Leaders of the true ‘Great Spirit’ talk about loving our neighbors as we should ourselves and while we many times find that hard to do, we also know that it is necessary to keep us going through the battles we will face in our daily travels with our chronic illness and/or disability.

So, we need to realize that the many non-romantic ways of finding and showing love is intergrel in our surviving the grind that may come on many of those days of battle with our chronic illness and/or disability, because when love is extended, love should be received.

The Meditation/Prayer –  Gratitude is our key today as we enter our time of meditation/prayer with the ‘Great Spirit’ and that gratitude comes in our love and thanks for all that we are surrounded with in our travels of life.  While ‘Great Spirit’ we find that love and gratitude difficult on some days, we look toward you for the guidance and wisdom to give us the direction we need to work through those days.  With our appreciation for all that you, ‘Great Spirit’, do in surrounding us with all we need to survive, we say thank you and look forward to spreading the word of such appreciation.  Let us continue to lean on you to keep the walk of hope, faith, love and grace so that our life can be fulfilled with the four fundamentals of life and happiness.

With that we all say Hallelujah, Amen.
