Sharing with others daily words, thoughts and meditations that bring myself hope and renewal during my own daily battles and frustrations with COPD/Asthma. Sharing, because as we all know – without that horizon of hope, our daily renewal of faith and fight can dim in a hurry.
Take, read, meditate and hopefully find some of the same hope in your daily battles with a chronic illness and/or disability as I have within mine….
The Word – “In God’s economy, nothing is wasted. Through failure, we learn a lesson in humility which is probably needed, painful though it is.” (As Bill Sees It, page 31)
The Thought – No matter how much we are thankful for what is before us in the travels of today, we must always remember that all our past failures were necessary for us to be where we find ourselves today.
Despite the pain and suffering we may have had through our failures, those failures made us better people in how we handle any situation that may present itself in our travels of today.
It was those failures that many of us found the importance of our times of quiet meditations with the ‘Great Spirits’.
It was those failures that many of us found the value of obedience that we have to our self and to the ‘Great Spirits’ guidance and wisdom, the obedience needed to get through those times of possible despair and pain that we find in our somedays daily battles with our chronic illness and/or disability.
With those experiences of failure. we have learned to find growth in how to properly handle any possible setback or bump in our travels of life.
With those experiences of failure, we have learned to be the utmost grateful for what we do have in all that surrounds in our travels of life.
It was the lessons we should have and did learn from failures, that shape our determination to find, grasp and hold on to the four fundamentals of life and happiness – those being hope, faith, love and grace.
Can you look back and see the importance in the failures you may have had, and the lessons learned and earned from those failures? Can you see the importance and value of failure has in our life in order to find our successes in life?
The Meditation/Prayer – As we come into our quiet time of meditation/prayer with you, the ‘Great Spirits’, we give thanks for not only all the wonders that surround us in our current travels of life, but also for those failures that you helped us pull through and find lessons learned within them. ‘Great Spirits’ we continue to seek your guidance and wisdom so that any other failures or bumps we find in our travels ahead, that they may continue to be lessons learned as we seek to find, understand and grasp the four fundamentals of life and happiness – hope, faith, love and grace.
With that we all say Hallelujah, Amen.
