DIPPING & BOUNCING BACK

By William
Previously I wrote about how messy life can be and that messy for you may not be the same as messy is for me, your neighbor, other family members or even a spouse or partner.
I have several chronic conditions to walk life with and so for me, messy can be a constant if I let it be.
HOW DID I GET HERE TODAY?
It has been a week since I wrote a Snaz & I for Today, something I vowed would not happen – but guess what, it did!!
Though technically I have never been diagnosed with it, I am positive I have adult ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
ADHD was not something diagnosed in the 1960’s when I was growing up, but you give me the list of signs that one has it – my wife says I click sometimes on each and everyone.
They say that list includes.
….. 1. Lack of attention to details
….. 2. Difficulty staying on task
….. 3. Trouble listening
….. 4. Lack of following through
….. 5. Disorganization
….. 6. Procrastination
….. 7. Loses things often
….. 8. Easily distracted
….. 9. Forgetfulness
Staying on task and getting distracted is my main issue the past week due to many writing projects going at once.
WHERE I AM?
Besides my work with wheezingaway.com, I run a sports website for small high schools in the area where I live, I cover sports for both a weekly and monthly newspaper in the area as well.
I got overwhelmed and when that happens I shut down…..simple as that, but I am learning to not make the shut down more than a few days instead of months at a time and here I am back up and writing again.
Maybe not the write I or others expected, but then again- it is where Snaz & I are for Today.
MY REFLECTIONS & GRATITUDES
My wife, Linda, has been such a blessing. Even more so now that I have a better grip on when I slide into ADHD issues because I get a bit testy easier knowing that I am messing up and not paying attention.
My ever present puppy, Frosty Lou, who just seems to know when I am having a bad or misguided day – those are the times he never leaves my side (except to go out and do his business).
The mail carrier/supervisor who worked tirelessly in finding a lost piece of important mail that was bound for Rapid City, South Dakota and ended up bouncing around North and South Houston for three weeks before heading the right direction. It gave me a slimer of hope that the government is still good to folks like me.
Grateful, despite the crazy and windy weather, to having several days of okay breathing. Giving me enough get and go to get four or five days of chair aerobics and Tai Chi in, all which makes me feel and sleep better overall.
PLAN FOR THE MAN!
Just keep an eagle eye and mind on those triggers that set off the numerous points of attack with ADHD.
If I do that, I will be fine!!
Time to get my 28-oz. ‘dirty water’ cup refilled and work at getting some supper ideas in the works.
So, that is it with where Snaz & I are for this day of March 30, 2026.
Until next time, I hope all is well and all is well with all…
Smiles, prayers, blessings, and steady breathing – SHALOM.
