HOLDING OUR SPIRIT STRONG
A weekly reflection for those living with chronic illness and/or disability.

A VOICE FROM THE WORD
“Therefore, put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil or despair comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you done everything – to continue standing.”
(Ephesians 6:13, NIV)
TODAY’S DEVOTION/MEDITATION – HOLDING OUR SPIRIT STRONG
We all face seasons when life becomes heavy by financial strain, emotional heartbreak, the unpredictability of weather, or just the daily tug of a chronic illness. These moments, at times, can feel like a battlefield.
While opinions differ, the Spirit does not usually ‘send’ these storms.
Yet it is often within those storms that we discover the strength to lean on the Spirit who steadies us.
As you allow the Spirit to rise within you, the winds inside the battle begin to calm.
Remaining faithful during struggles does not remove the hardship, but it does secure your footing. Every battle fought with the Spirit beside you becomes a lesson, a strengthening, a preparation for what lies ahead.
Let the Spirit build your armor – an armor woven from love, faith, hope, and grace. This is how we hold our own spirit strong.
A MOMENT OF MEDITATION/PRAYER
O Great Spirit, thank You for standing beside me in every battle. Open my eyes to the wisdom hidden within each and every struggle and help me remember the steps that lead me toward strength.
Thank You for the hope, faith, and grace You continually give.
And we all say – Hallelujah, Amen!
