TODAY –
Today has been a good day, though the weather is still messing with me. Today it got up to 61 with a low tonight down to 38.
Here is the outlook for the next week of temp for day/night :
Saturday – 73/56
Sunday – 54/16 with frozen mix chance
Monday – 39/22
Tuesday – 58/45
Wednesday – 78/49
Thursday – 86/53
Friday – 80/54.
Much of the past two weeks have been like the run upcoming Sunday to Wednesday. We just never seemed to have had a winter this year.
My breathing does not do well with major temp swings like this, and the lack of lengthy cold spells does not give our outside air a chance to kill winter stuff in the air. Result is having a sizable increase in influenzas A & B plus COVID this season….no wonder I do not go anywhere.
But for the most part the day has been good, we did get some things done in the kitchen and writing.
Onward to tomorrow.
FOLLOW UPS –
…..That adult daughter coming back from another run at alcohol recovery rehab – nope, right back on the merry-go-around of drinking, whining, and wanting everyone to feel sorry for her.
She lost her luggage for awhile on her trip home, they have it at the local airport where she lives (it is only five miles from her home), but she keeps finding excuses for not going to get it, despite the fact it has all her current meds in it. Yet she is getting sick again – and we wonder why??
…… Two, trying the iron pills to help fix some anemia issues. At the same time, I am also working to put more broccoli, spinach, peas, and other good iron foods into my daily diet.
……. Three, my writing. As I continue to rebuild my website wheezingaway.com, I also work at learning new ways to let people know it is there and what it is I write. Any suggestions are welcomed at this point.
REFLECTIONS & GRATITUDES –
Grateful that again this morning, I woke up to see the brilliant blue sky, smile at the puffy white clouds and the different formations they may make, take a deep breath (or as much as I can), feel the coolness of my floor beneath my feet – and on and on.
Grateful I have food to eat and an adorable wife to share it with.
Grateful I had a mother who took such acute care of me as a child growing up with a new esophagus, severe asthma and ADD (though at the time it was not being diagnosed). My mother used to chuckle some mornings about ‘you are my barometer’ because how I was breathing would give her an idea of what the weather was going to be like.
Reflecting more on my past as I continue to work on a book about a semi-lonely, sickly, scrawny, crazy preacher kid growing up in northeast Lincoln, Nebraska in the 1960’s.
Reflecting on the people I am most grateful for – the people who played key roles in my walk of life whether they realized it or not.
PLAN FOR THE MAN –
My plan at this point is to keep stepping forward with a heart of gratitude and a blessing that I still have hope and faith that this will continue to get better if I allow them to.
I will continue to build this website of information, direction, and personal walking for those with chronic illness and/or disability.
Work at supporting the local kids with writes about their sports exploits.
Most of all – work at just being me, letting my personality lead the way with a heart of gratitude, hope, and faith.
Time to get my 28-oz. ‘dirty water’ cup refilled and work at restocking my daily meds while grabbing a late lunch or early supper.
So that is it with where Snaz & I are for this day of March 13, 2026.
Until next time, I hope all is well and all is well with all.
My bid to all – smiles, prayers, blessings, and steady breathing – SHALOM, William
ALWAYS REMEMBER (because I have COPD and severe Asthma) – If you or anyone you know have any symptoms involving lung and breathing functionality, and they linger over and over while disrupting a lifestyle – then please ask questions and get it checked out.
